Karen grew up in Toronto, Canada surrounded by music. By the ripe old age of four, Karen was singing songs at the top of her lungs! Bill Pitre, her father, played Chet Atkins style guitar with a local band and Karen has fond memories of joining in on rehearsals when she was just a tot.

By the age of six, Karen made her television debut with an appearance on a youngster's talent show singing "Delta Dawn," accompanied by her dad's guitar playing.

Never quite able to get the entertainment bug out of her system, she was involved in music theatre and community drama groups throughout her high school years.

After much coaxing from a friend who persuaded her to audition for a gig at Canada's Wonderland, Karen was delighted to land a role in the Country Show. The next year she was back at it again in Concert '87.

As the opening act for a Legends of Rock and Roll Show, a quartet that Karen was involved with started off with a song that all members agreed Karen should sing lead on ... Reba McEntire's "Why Haven't I Heard From You? " The rest, as they say, is history!

With a lot of hard work and dedication, Karen successfully put together an outstanding two hour performance, and traveled throughout Ontario with her own "It's All Reba " show. This tribute soon took on an international flavour, working for such productions as John Stuart's Legends In Concert, and Paul Stutzman's Country Dreamin' USA. During an extended run at the Flamingo Hilton Hotel in Nevada, her talents also included a portrayal of fellow Canadian, Shania Twain as well as leading cast and crew as Company Manager.

It was time to sink her teeth into a more challenging tribute in the "Pop " category of music. None other than .. Celine Dion. Karen's portrayal has been earning her standing ovations from Bally's in Atlantic City to Canada's premier Casino in Windsor and from Japan to a U.S. Naval base on the Indian Ocean!

In the year 2000, Karen was asked to perform as Cher. Always wanting to expand her horizons, she accepted the challenge, focusing her unique talents on the legendary character. In only one year. Karen has mastered this impersonation, and in the year 2001, will have the opportunity to perform around the world!

With her 4 characters, Karen is having the time of her life, but whether you see her as Reba, Shama, Celine or Cher you will BELIEVE!!
